52 Canon Rebels Used for Matrix-Style Surfing Shots

Rip Curl, a surf wear company, recently teamed up with Timeslice Films and produced an amazing video of surfers in “bullet-time“, the effect that most first saw in The Matrix. They used an enormous camera array of 52 Canon Rebel DSLRs (it was originally thought they were 5D Mark IIs) in order to capture the same shot from 52 different angles, stringing them together for the final footage.
